Jill Biden’s Fairy Tale: “Education President” Fails Our KidsBADLY

In a speech that was more like a fairy tale than reality, first lady Jill Biden declared her husband, Joe, as the “education president.” But let’s not forget that actions speak louder than words, and the recent findings from the Nation’s Report Card paint a very different picture.

Despite the Biden administration’s claims of investing in education, the data from the National Assessment of Education Progress tells a different story. Math scores have plummeted by 9 points for 13-year-olds, and reading scores have dropped by 4 points. These are not minor dips but rather historic declines that should sound the alarm bells. It seems like the investments made by the administration are failing our students.

Former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos rightfully called the report a “5-alarm fire” and warned that an entire generation is at risk. It’s clear that Biden’s so-called transformation of the economy and creation of millions of jobs aren’t enough to make up for the lack of progress in education. If anything, this should serve as a wake-up call for the administration to reassess its priorities and focus on the fundamentals that our children need.

But leave it to the first lady to live in an alternate reality. While speaking to thousands of educators at the National Education Association assembly, Jill Biden praised her husband’s commitment to education. Unfortunately, her optimism seems to be misplaced. It’s easy to make grand statements, but the evidence on the ground proves otherwise.

It’s no wonder that Virginia Governor Glen Youngkin scoffed at the first lady’s comments, remarking that she may be the only person who believes in this fairy tale. With declining scores and a generation of students at risk, it’s clear that actions, not empty rhetoric, matter. We need a president who can deliver results, not just make lofty promises.

The reality is that the Biden administration’s approach to education has been lackluster at best. Instead of focusing on improving the core skills of our students, they are more interested in pushing their own agenda. It’s no wonder that our children are falling behind while the administration continues to pat themselves on the back.

It’s time for a change. We need leadership that puts the needs of our students first, not political posturing. The future of our nation depends on a strong education system, and it’s about time we had a president who truly understands that. Unfortunately, all we’ve seen so far from the Biden administration is empty words and failed policies. It’s time for them to step up or step aside.
