Judge Aileen Cannon’s decision to reject Special Counsel Jack Smith’s request to keep the names of government witnesses secret has dealt a blow to the case. But hold on tight, folks, because things are about to get interesting!

According to Newsweek, Joyce Vance, a former U.S. attorney, has thrown a curveball into the mix. In her newsletter, cleverly titled “Civil Discourse with Joyce Vance,” she suggests that Smith might actually pose a threat to Judge Cannon. Who would’ve thought?
Vance points to a court filing by Smith, where he asked the judge to reconsider her decision. Smith argues that by refusing to hide the identity of government witnesses, Cannon has made a “clear error” that could put them in danger. Now, I don’t know about you, but protecting the integrity of the judicial process seems like a low priority for Smith.
But Vance, bless her heart, seems to think that Smith’s “clean hands” will work in his favor on appeal. She believes his “good faith” response to the judge’s ruling will strengthen the case for removing Judge Cannon if her rulings continue to be “off base.” Well, if that’s what Vance thinks, who are we to argue? But it’s worth noting that she was an Obama appointee, so take that with a grain of salt.
And let’s not forget about Lisa Rubin, the legal analyst for MSNBC. She is just as flabbergasted as the rest of us by Cannon’s decision. Rubin took to social media to express her disbelief and called the ruling “mind boggling.” It seems like even MSNBC pundits can see through the nonsense.
Now, while all this drama is unfolding, let’s not forget about our dear president, Joe Biden. Can someone please check if he still remembers his name? Special Counsel Robert Hur released a report highlighting Biden’s declining mental abilities. Hur noted that in an interview, Biden struggled to remember important details, such as when his son Beau died and even something as significant as the Afghanistan debate. Yikes!
