Oh boy, Governor Lujan Grisham just had a major setback! A judge has stepped in and put a temporary injunction in place to stop her from illegally suspending gun rights in New Mexico. The judge agreed with the argument that the order to suspend open and concealed carry rights in “high crime” areas was likely unconstitutional. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt for the governor.
But hey, at least this injunction will last for 14 days, giving both sides a chance to argue their cases. And for now, the good people of New Mexico can rest easy knowing their gun rights are secure. It’s ridiculous to suggest that law-abiding gun owners pose a threat to society. This kind of false narrative is exactly what the left loves to push when it comes to guns. They just don’t get it.
I mean, come on, the Second Amendment isn’t subservient to public safety concerns. That’s not how our Constitution works! It’s important for governments, at any level, to remember that they can’t simply decide to suspend an enumerated right because they feel like it. Sorry, Governor Lujan Grisham, but your legal team really dropped the ball on this one.
It’s clear that Lujan Grisham acted impulsively without giving any thought to the consequences of her actions. And now she’s stuck in a corner, desperately searching for a way out. It’s almost painful to watch. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I can tell you this: her political career is toast. No one wants a leader who’s willing to sign an illegal order and trample on our rights. Even her own party has turned their backs on her. Voters will never be able to trust her judgment again.
If this is the end of Lujan Grisham’s time in office, it will be a punishment well-deserved. We can’t have politicians who are willing to disregard our rights for their own personal agenda. It’s time to keep people like her out of public office. Protecting our rights should always be the priority.
