In the latest example of judicial overreach, an appeals court has once again tried to hamstring President Trump’s efforts to restore order in this nation. The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has put the brakes on Trump’s plan to send in the National Guard to handle the chaos in Illinois. For those keeping track, it’s yet another win for the liberal elites who would rather see our cities burn than let a conservative president clean up their mess.
The court claims there aren’t enough grounds to deploy these troops, as though scattered protests and lawlessness somehow don’t qualify as a rebellion. Anti-ICE protests are brushed off like harmless tantrums rather than the violent disruptions we know them to be. Meanwhile, the liberal judges sit comfortably behind their benches, detached from reality, enabling cities like Chicago to fend off ICE efforts, insisting that civilian police have it all covered.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is overjoyed, of course. This is a man who constantly bashes Trump, labels his actions as “political power plays,” and accuses the President of plotting to influence elections by military force. Talk about hypocrisy! Here’s Pritzker, parroting anti-Trump rhetoric while crime is a fact of life in his jurisdiction. And yet, he has the gall to claim things are under control.
This ruling is a frustrating reminder of how deep the anti-Trump bias runs and how shamelessly Democrats will block solutions to real problems. The crime rates, the lawlessness, they turn a blind eye. Instead, they villainize a leader determined to restore safety and enforce the law. The left is celebrating, claiming it’s a victory for “state authority.” But what about the authority of citizens to live in safe neighborhoods?
So, what’s next for Trump? Will he bow to liberal activists masquerading as judges, or will he continue to fight for real Americans who deserve safety and security? When liberal cities become unlivable, who do they think folks will turn to? It won’t be the politicians who led them into the chaos, that’s for sure.
