Kamala Harris Defends Hamas Propaganda Scores Political Points

Vice President Kamala Harris seems determined to cozy up to the most radical elements of the world, using dubious claims straight from Hamas while taking aim at Israel during a recent press event. The latest debacle unfolded after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a precision strike on a Hamas command center cleverly concealed within a Gaza school. This precision operation reportedly resulted in the elimination of 19 Hamas terrorists, but predicting the response from Harris was easy—she promptly turned to Hamas’s generous casualty figures.

Following the IDF strikes, the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry wasted no time in fabricating extravagant numbers of civilian casualties, alleging untold horror at the hands of the so-called Israeli aggressors. And who better to believe than a group known for its genocidal rhetoric? True to form, Harris latched onto these claims as though they were gospel, signaling to the world her priorities—after all, siding with terrorists seems to be a pattern in her political repertoire.

During her staggeringly brief moment with the press, Harris parroted back the Hamas propaganda of “at least 80” civilian deaths and chastised Israel for civilian casualties without bothering to mention the context. Israel’s ongoing battle with Hamas is a fight against a group notorious for using innocent Palestinians as human shields. The IDF, in its defense, has repeatedly stated that their focus remains on targeting terrorists while taking extraordinary precautions to spare civilian lives. Yet, Harris’s “wisdom” suggested a moral high ground that somehow ignores these complexities.

When pressed further, Harris stumbled through her talking points, emphasizing the urgent need for a hostage deal and ceasefire—ignoring the inconvenient truth that Hamas has repeatedly rejected ceasefire agreements and hostages’ negotiations. It seems that in her world, pushing for peace is significantly easier than acknowledging the realities of a war against terrorism. Perhaps that’s what happens when one’s worldview is bent through a lens drenched in grievance politics.

The taxpayers’ fury also centers around the Biden-Harris administration’s financial ties to Gaza, which have amounted to hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars—money that ends up in the hands of those who have made clear their intentions against Israel and the West. This pattern raises eyebrows about the administration’s true alliances and motives. As if that weren’t enough, there’s speculation that the VP might have even declined potential running mate Gov. Josh Shapiro due to his Jewish heritage, a move that speaks volumes about the current Democratic Party’s relationship with Jewish communities.

The bottom line is that Harris’s comments are not merely misguided but part of a larger trend where appeasing anti-Israel sentiments takes precedence over facts and long-standing alliances. Shouldn’t a Vice President prioritize standing with a democratic ally rather than peddling the narrative of a genocidal organization? It raises the question—when will reality check in for those who have cozied up to Hamas?
