Last year, the Biden administration received plenty of flak for their Pride Month antics, and this year is proving no different. On Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris rolled out the rainbow carpet to welcome the cast of “Queer Eye” to the White House. Among them was Jonathan van Ness, a trans activist with a penchant for beards and dresses, which apparently is the new threshold for getting a White House invite these days.
Harris couldn’t contain her excitement, blasting it all over her official X account. As if showcasing this spectacle wasn’t enough, the moment got tangled in a web of blunders when Harris was referred to as “Madame President” in the video captions. This eyebrow-raising “mistake” came from an administration that’s supposedly banking on Harris as a safety net for Biden’s shambolic tenure. Polls indicate most Americans don’t think Biden will last another term, and here they are, prematurely promoting Harris.
But it gets better. Not only did van Ness parade around the White House in various dresses, he also hit the podium in the briefing room. Meanwhile, families of true American heroes, like Laken Riley—whose alleged killer is an illegal immigrant—continue to be overlooked. The Biden administration busies itself celebrating individuals who challenge basic biology while ignoring families who have lost loved ones due to its own failed policies.
Other users were quick to point out the sheer absurdity of who gets honored by this administration. Social media was rife with criticism as it contrasted van Ness’s glamorous treatment with the neglect faced by families of service members who died in the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle. Apparently, putting on a dress and a beard trumps actual sacrifice in Biden’s White House.

The vice president’s residence, Number One Observatory Circle, also joined the Pride parade, lit up in the full LGBTQI+ spectrum. This administration has gone out of its way to paint everything in rainbow hues, yet can’t find time to meaningfully address real issues like border security or parental rights. Harris’s social media posts celebrated Pride events with an out-of-touch level of enthusiasm, focusing on adults while bizarrely invoking children in contexts just asking for ridicule.
To top it off, the Democrats’ official X account weighed in with a cringe-inducing display of pandering. As if posting images of Harris in front of multicolored lights wasn’t enough, they added some saccharine captions that would make even seasoned politicians blush.
And so it goes in Biden’s America, where blunders, blinders, and beards in dresses take center stage while the real issues get shoved conveniently into the shadows. For an administration teetering on the edge, it sure knows how to put on a show—even if it’s the kind that leaves everyone shaking their heads.
