Kamala Harris is back in the spotlight, but this time with a makeover that would make even the most seasoned Hollywood publicist envious. After ducking out of the 2020 presidential race before anyone could say “Super Tuesday,” she is now being presented as the fearless warrior Americans apparently never knew they needed. With an arsenal of smiley photo-ops and pseudo-inspiring speeches, the media has transformed the not-so-glamorous vice president into a shining beacon of hope — or at least that’s what they would have the public believe.
The narrative shift is astounding. Gone are the days of Kamala stuttering through interviews, awkwardly laughing at her own jokes, and displaying a level of charisma similar to that of a cardboard cutout. She’s now the brave knight, ready to do battle against the forces of evil, which in her mind seems to be everyone who isn’t lined up in the liberal parade. While she was historically known for her dubious political choices, the media is now painting her as a rising star with “raw talent.” This creates an amusing juxtaposition; no one truly believes she has the chops to take on Donald Trump head-to-head without a teleprompter and an army of handlers.
As various pundits scramble to bolster her credentials, they produce statements that raise a few eyebrows. A university professor recently claimed that Trump will be facing a challenger unlike any other in Kamala Harris. One can only wonder how many tales of political bravado the media can spin before the public stops rolling their eyes. Remember, this is the same Kamala who couldn’t string together a coherent answer during her failed presidential campaign. If that’s the raw talent they’re bragging about, it’s no wonder the political world is swimming in absurdity.
Then there are her so-called “devastating responses” to political challenges. After former President Trump backed out of a debate, her remark about confronting him face to face went viral — but not in the way her supporters were hoping. Instead of generating applause, it seemed to evoke more laughter, as the crowd quickly turned her line into a punchline rather than a mic-drop moment. The media’s attempt to present this as a profound comeback fell flat, highlighting just how far removed they are from the reality many Americans face.
Kamala has so diligently honed her skills over the past four years, but her key responses resemble platitudes rather than revolutionary rhetoric. Boldly declaring, “How dare they!” after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade is hardly the stuff of legend. It more closely resembles the whining of someone who just had their candy taken away. In essence, her best is still average at best, leaving many to ponder who exactly is fueling this bizarre popularity burst.

Ultimately, both Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton share a striking similarity: they are both products of media hype and political maneuvering but lack the substance of genuine leadership. While the media may attempt to portray her as the next big thing, discerning conservatives recognize the old tricks. When it comes to true political talent, Kamala Harris sadly seems to have arrived on a one-way ticket to average-ville, armed only with a bag of clichés and some well-crafted press releases.
