Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz has made headlines again, this time as Kamala Harris’s chosen running mate for the upcoming election. Dubbed “Tampon Tim” for his questionable initiative to provide tampons in boys’ school bathrooms, Walz seems to have positioned himself perfectly to serve the vice president’s interests, with his distinct flair for ensuring that he never outshines Harris. Much to everyone’s surprise, Walz was picked over Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro, who is, shockingly, pro-Israel and Jewish, traits that may have sidelined him in today’s Democratic landscape where allegiance to radical ideologies seems to ride higher than tradition.
Walz is being polished by the mainstream media as a “folksy moderate”—a term that becomes increasingly bizarre given his track record. While he might evade the spotlight with a shotgun and an orange hunting vest, anyone familiar with his governance knows that his leftist policies would make any sensible centrist shudder in disbelief. Establishing a draconian COVID regime only seen in the dystopian works of Orwell is hardly what any rational person would associate with ‘family-friendly’ values. But then again, Democrats have long underestimated the intelligence of the American people.

The media has swiftly transitioned Walz from a recognized leftist—who enabled the infamous BLM riots in Minnesota—to an innocuous centrist hero. ABC has been at the forefront of this transformation, showcasing him as a man who embodies the “all-American” ideal, a strange characterization for someone heavily involved in supporting radical social agendas. Liberals affirming his supposed mettle in the political realm seem to be mixing up their rhetoric or, dare one speculate, could it be an intentional misdirection?
In an ironic twist of fate, prominent figures on networks like MSNBC and ABC have employed a series of breathtakingly nonsensical claims, turning Walz’s clearly leftist governance into a tale of moderation. Former Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill recently implied that Walz had managed to survive in a “very moderate” district, a reference geared more towards making excuses than presenting a factual account of his political endeavors. It seems amnesia about Walz’s record has struck the leftist media, as they unearth a nostalgia for a centrist that simply does not exist.
Tim Walz’s accolades from the liberal elite largely overlook his actual performance as a governor, which includes notable decisions such as promoting treatments for children that would make any rational person cringe. The reporting frenzy surrounding Walz’s new label of a ‘centrist’ is yet another chapter in the ongoing saga of leftist gaslighting. As Minnesota’s previously conservative voters watch with disbelief, they can only wonder when the media will catch up to the reality that Walz’s radical policies have alienated their values. Walz being portrayed as a rural conservative brings the question—do these reporters think they can yank the wool over America’s eyes with another feeble narrative? The absurdity is bewildering, yet thoroughly predictable.
