There are a significant number of Americans who feel that her position is akin to being at the wheel of a sinking ship while declaring, “What a lovely day for a sail.”
Her comments also signal a troubling sentiment in the Democratic party, where dissent seems to be discouraged and any hint of critique toward Biden’s methods is swiftly snuffed out. It reflects a broader trend wherein party lines are drawn so rigidly that admitting any fault is tantamount to treason.
