Did you hear the latest news on Gov. Ron DeSantis? The 2024 GOP presidential candidate is changing up his media strategy, and it’s about time! You see, in the past, DeSantis has been avoiding those tough questions from liberal reporters on mainstream media outlets. But now, he’s realizing that if he wants to catch up to former President Trump in the polls, he needs to step up his game.

It’s been seven weeks since DeSantis launched his campaign, and he’s already falling behind in the race. So his campaign team is shaking things up and urging him to start appearing on liberal media outlets. I mean, it’s about time! Critics have been scolding DeSantis for not engaging with more mainstream platforms like Trump did. Even conservative commentator Megyn Kelly gave him some advice, saying he needs to get in front of adversarial liberal media and fight. She even suggested going on CNN and MSNBC or taking on extreme liberal Joy Reid. It’s time for DeSantis to stop hiding and start defending his conservative views.
But let’s not forget the irony here. DeSantis has been criticizing Trump for participating in liberal news, calling him “stuck in the past.” Yet, here he is, doing the exact same thing. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black. And to add insult to injury, a Super PAC supporting DeSantis bashed Trump’s appearance on CNN, saying it was an hour of nonsense. Well, guess what? DeSantis decided to make his own appearance on the liberal network. Talk about hypocrisy.
During his interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, DeSantis tried to defend his struggling campaign. Tapper raised concerns that voters may view DeSantis as “less electable” than Trump based on his conservative record in Florida. But DeSantis brushed it off and pointed to his impressive win in Florida, claiming it proves his electability. He also highlighted his efforts in promoting parents’ rights and tackling economic issues in the state. It’s great to hear him speak up, but I can’t help but feel a bit skeptical.
DeSantis is confident that the polls indicating he’s trailing far behind Trump are wrong. He even believes the Left sees him as a threat because they know he can beat President Biden and deliver on his promises. Well, time will tell if DeSantis can really rise to the challenge. But one thing’s for sure, he needs to stop avoiding the tough questions and start engaging with all media outlets – liberal or conservative. It’s time to prove himself on a bigger stage.
