President Joe Biden had a bit of a trick-or-treat surprise on Halloween night when a group of kids decided to mock his stumbling and confused mannerisms. In a video that quickly went viral, the kids dressed up as Secret Service agents and playacted their way through Biden’s visit to a neighbor’s house to collect candy. It was all in good fun, but it highlighted the perception that many Americans have that Biden is just too old for the job.

The video shows Biden shuffling his way to the front door with a candy bag in hand, with the “agents” by his side. He tries to ring the doorbell but ends up tripping over the front step and nearly falling, just like he did at an Air Force graduation earlier this year. The residents at the front door couldn’t help but laugh at the scene.
It’s not just kids who are getting a kick out of Biden’s stumble. A group of young special agents even reenacted his fall into the grass, adding to the amusement. It’s clear that the perception of Biden’s age and abilities is widely known and shared among the public.
Recent polls have shown that over 70 percent of Americans believe that Biden is not fit for a second term, citing concerns about his ability to handle the demands of the job. Even some of Biden’s former allies have expressed doubts about his capabilities. Just this week, Congressman Dean Phillips launched a primary challenge against Biden for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
The White House is aware of these concerns and has made some adjustments to accommodate Biden’s age. He now wears special sneakers with super grip soles to prevent slipping, and he uses a smaller set of stairs to board Air Force One. These changes come after Biden’s infamous tumbles while trying to board the presidential aircraft. While it’s important to respect the office of the President, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Biden’s age is becoming a liability.
