Jonathan Turley, a self-proclaimed liberal attorney, has raised eyebrows among left-wing critics with his recent legal analyses. Turley, despite his political leanings, has been a vocal defender of due process and the rule of law, which has inadvertently made him a de facto supporter of the MAGA movement, much to the chagrin of the left.

In a recent blog post, Turley outlined ten reasons why the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden is legitimate. He argues that Hunter Biden and his associates were engaged in a classic influence peddling operation, using Joe Biden’s name to generate millions from corrupt foreign figures. Turley points to evidence that Hunter Biden’s clients pushed for changes in US foreign policy, with the aim of influencing Ukrainian corruption investigations. President Biden, according to Turley, has made false claims about his knowledge of these dealings, including denying knowledge of Hunter’s foreign business transactions with China.

Furthermore, Turley brings attention to emails and other communications that show Hunter Biden repeatedly invoking his father’s name to secure payments from foreign sources. He also highlights the existence of a credible FBI source who alleges that a corrupt Ukrainian businessman paid a “bribe” to Joe Biden through intermediaries. Turley suggests that these allegations warrant further investigation into the possible impeachable conduct of President Biden.
It’s important to note that Turley’s opinions do not constitute direct evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden. However, they do raise legitimate concerns that should be thoroughly examined. As a conservative, it is evident that there are sufficient grounds to impeach Joe Biden. Nonetheless, a careful and methodical approach is required to ensure a fair and just process. Rushing into impeachment without concrete evidence, as the Democrats did with Trump, would only damage the constitutional process and undermine the legitimacy of such proceedings.
