The leftist media outlet, The New Republic, has once again crossed the line of basic human decency by writing a disgusting hit piece on the now deceased CEO, Stockton Rush, who was tragically lost in the explorer submarine Titan that was searching for the wreckage of the Titanic. Rather than focusing on the unfolding tragedy, the outlet prioritized Rush’s history of donating to GOP candidates in the past. The article, titled “OceanGate CEO Missing in Titanic Sub Had History of Donating to GOP Candidates,” focused on campaign finance records that supposedly showed that Rush was a consistent Republican donor.

It is utterly deplorable that the liberal media would take the opportunity of a man’s tragic death to push their political agenda. The New Republic should be ashamed of themselves for this disgraceful act of journalism. How low do these media elites have to go to demonize Republicans and anyone who supports conservative values?
The backlash on social media was swift and furious, as many outraged citizens expressed their disgust and anger at The New Republic’s shameful behavior. Even Fox News’ Janice Dean tweeted, “Wow. What if the missing CEO had donated to the other party? How disgusting and pathetic.” It’s clear that this is not just a partisan issue, but a matter of basic human decency.
It’s ironic that the left-wing media constantly preaches about the importance of diversity and inclusion, yet they are quick to attack anyone who doesn’t fit their narrow narrative. Rush’s previous comments about not wanting experienced “50-year-old white guys” on his team were widely critiqued, yet The New Republic’s focus on his GOP donations is just as discriminatory and divisive.
In the end, The New Republic’s hit piece on Stockton Rush is a prime example of the left’s attempt to politicize and exploit any situation for their own agenda. It’s time for the media to stop the hateful rhetoric and start treating people with the respect and dignity they deserve, regardless of their political affiliations.
