Left’s Hypocrisy Exposed: How Woke Virtue-Signaling Destroys Culture

Megyn Kelly’s recent conversation with Will Kingston cut to the bone of a truth too many in polite media refuse to say out loud: the left’s alliances are increasingly incoherent and dangerous. On her show Kingston laid out how progressive circles bend over backward to defend conservative strains of Islam while simultaneously embracing woke doctrines that clash with Western liberty. That disconnect isn’t accidental; it’s ideological myopia dressed up as virtue-signaling and performance politics.

Kingston’s viral refrain that “diversity is not our strength” landed because it touched a real fear: when cultural cohesion and shared values are abandoned, the social fabric frays. He argues, as Megyn allowed, that mass immigration without assimilation breeds parallel societies rather than the blended unity liberals promise. Conservatives should stop being polite about this and start insisting that immigration policy be driven by cultural compatibility and security, not feel-good optics.

What’s maddening is the moral contortionism on display — toadying to regimes or movements that repress women and gays while lecturing America on inclusion is the height of hypocrisy. The left’s “oppression rankings” have turned into a cynical game where political advantage matters more than actual liberty or human rights. Patriots must expose that game for what it is: a power play that trades our principles for a twisted coalition of convenience.

Across the pond the cultural rot is triggering its own backlash, from councils taking down flags to grassroots “raise the flag” movements pushing back against elites who sneer at patriotism. That row over national symbols is real and it isn’t just about cloth — it’s about who gets to decide what Britain stands for, and whether ordinary people can reclaim pride in their country. The controversy has been loud enough to draw mainstream coverage and debate about the meaning of national identity.

Meanwhile London’s knife crime statistics and other violent trends are a blunt reminder that when culture collapses and policing is hamstrung, citizens pay the price. Knife offences in recent reporting rose to troubling levels in parts of the capital, proving that softness on enforcement has consequences for everyday safety. Conservatives have been warning for years that radical tolerance of criminality packaged as empathy only empowers predators, not victims.

The U.S. picture is messier but instructive: some national reports show violent crime dropping in many big cities even as public perception — fed by media and political theater — insists lawlessness reigns. Local leaders are responding by expanding surveillance and real-time policing tools, because voters demand safety and governments must answer that demand. Whether it’s better data or tougher enforcement, the lesson is clear: free societies that want to survive need both respectful liberties and the muscle to protect them.

If conservatives want to win this argument we must be unapologetic about defending free speech, secure borders, and the right of communities to preserve their culture. Call out the left’s hypocrisy when they enable oppressive actors abroad while denouncing American traditions at home, and offer a constructive alternative rooted in freedom, law, and common sense. The choice is stark: either we revive a confidence in Western values or we allow a fractured, timid polity to be reshaped by those who don’t share our ideals.
