Kendall Stephens, an outspoken transgender and LGBTQ advocate, was recently arrested on a laundry list of charges related to the despicable sexual assault of two young boys. That’s right, you heard it correctly — a leading figure in the LGBT community is facing charges of rape, assault, and corruption of minors. This goes to show that not all heroes wear capes, some wear handcuffs!
It’s repugnant to think that someone who claims to be fighting for the rights of marginalized groups would allegedly commit such heinous acts. The individuals Stephens claimed to be helping were the very same ones he was accused of exploiting and harming. It’s a cruel betrayal of trust and a stark reminder that we need to be vigilant against those who seek to use their status as advocates as a shield for their own vile actions.
