Once again, mainstream liberals find themselves in an embarrassing climb-down. Donald Trump called it out during his presidential campaign: illegal immigrant gang members were taking over an apartment building in Colorado. And now, even the most obstinately left-leaning outlets can’t avoid admitting it.
The liberal media has always been quick to dismiss Trump’s warnings about the dangers of open borders. They mocked him, shouted “fake news,” and jumped on every opportunity to pretend that America’s immigration issues were exaggerated fairy tales told by conservatives. Yet the truth blares like a siren—they can no longer keep it under wraps.
Back when this story first broke, instead of addressing real concerns, pundits and politicians chose to brush it aside, depicting those who raised the alarm as right-wing crazies. Leftists denied, deflected, and disregarded the plight of everyday Americans for the sake of a dangerously misguided narrative.
Pundits painted Aurora as a peaceful place, plagued not by criminals but by the delusions of conservatives seeing threats where none existed. This all paralleled their typical playbook, where problems vanish as soon as they threaten the image of harmonious liberal policies.
Now, they finally admit there was gang activity—activity residents witnessed firsthand. But why acknowledge it only after the damage was done? It seems they’re eager to report facts only when it no longer impacts Democrats’ chances. How convenient that the truth surfaces only after Trump sounded the alarm—and after liberals wrung every ounce of political capital out of their deceit.
When will the media learn that Americans see through their tricks? They cry wolf about media integrity, yet time and again, they’re caught asleep on the job. Isn’t it time they admit who has the real track record for honesty and accountability?
For every lie the left pedals, the truth eventually bites back. One can’t help but wonder: what other inconvenient truths are they keeping under wraps?
