Former President Donald Trump has been hit with a second federal indictment, charging him with obstruction of official proceedings as Congress certified President Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 election. This comes as no surprise to the late radio legend Rush Limbaugh, who predicted this move by Trump’s opponents to prevent him from running for a second term. Limbaugh pointed out that the Democrats are terrified of Trump and his massive support base, which garnered him 75 to 80 million votes.

But even if they manage to jail Trump or tarnish his image, Limbaugh insisted that they can never separate the people from the MAGA movement and the ideas behind it. He believed that the bond between the supporters and Trump is unbreakable. Furthermore, Limbaugh reminded everyone that the Democrats’ attempts to destroy Trump’s reputation won’t work because the supporters existed before Trump and will continue to exist even if he doesn’t.
This new indictment follows the first case brought against Trump by special counsel Jack Smith, a close ally of U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. According to Trump, Smith has a history of carrying out political hit jobs against politicians. The cost of Smith’s first case against Trump, which accuses him of mishandling classified documents, is estimated to reach $25 million in just one year. It seems like the Democrats are sparing no expense in their efforts to bring down Trump.
The Democrats’ obsession with targeting Trump even after he left office is truly astonishing. It’s clear that they’re afraid of him and the strong connection he has with his supporters. The fact that they would go to such lengths to prevent him from running for president again shows how threatened they feel. But their efforts are misguided because Trump’s supporters are not going anywhere. They believe in the ideas behind MAGA, and that belief will continue to fuel the movement, with or without Trump himself. The Democrats should focus on governing and achieving their own policy goals instead of wasting time and taxpayer money on politically motivated attacks.
