In another episode of the never-ending saga of Trump vs. the world, the former president has been hit with yet another blow, this time from across the pond in London. A judge there has ordered Trump to cough up a hefty sum of $382,000 to Orbis, the company founded by none other than Christopher Steele, the man behind the infamous Steele Dossier. Ah, the Steele Dossier, that collection of tall tales and political mudslinging that the Democrats used to try and take down Trump. But as conservative Republicans like to say, “fake news!”

It’s no surprise that Trump tried to fight back, claiming the dossier was as fake as a three-dollar bill and that Orbis had violated some British data protection laws. But alas, the judge wasn’t buying it, and Trump’s bid to hold those responsible for the dossier’s creation accountable went up in smoke. It’s a tough break for the former president, who must be feeling the sting of defeat once again.
But hey, it’s not all bad news for Trump. The judge did have a bit of mercy and slashed Orbis’ legal fees by more than half. So, instead of paying over $800,000, Trump only has to fork over $382,000. Still a hefty sum for a one-day hearing, but compared to the other fines and judgments coming his way, it’s just a drop in the bucket. Besides, with the recent Supreme Court ruling in his favor and other legal battles on the horizon, Trump is surely not losing any sleep over this latest setback.
In the grand scheme of things, this ruling is just another chapter in the ongoing crusade by Trump’s adversaries to keep him out of the White House. The anti-Trump camp will stop at nothing to tarnish his reputation and prevent his return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. But as any conservative worth their salt will tell you, Trump is a fighter, and he won’t let a little legal fee here and there stand in the way of his quest for justice and victory. Keep on fighting, Mr. President!
