Lone Star Line of Defense: Texas Guards Keep Border Fortified

Amidst the ongoing dispute regarding Texas' prerogative to safeguard its frontier, Texas National Guard personnel persist in erecting razor-sharp wire barriers along the Rio Grande River. Recently, the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals threw a bone to Texas by preventing the federal government from dismantling its barriers and temporarily suspending a previous court ruling.

In October, legal proceedings were initiated by the Lone Star State against the Biden administration in response to Border Patrol agents' practice of demolishing defensive barriers situated on Texas territory. This action facilitated the ingress of unauthorized individuals between Texas entry points. A district judge initially halted the federal government's plan to demolish the barriers of Texas, but then abruptly reversed her decision and permitted the operation to continue.

Texas, not one to take this lying down, resisted and succeeded in obtaining a stay from the panel of judges of the Fifth Circuit. Governor Greg Abbott, an ardent supporter of Texas' prerogative to safeguard its territorial integrity, has proclaimed that the state is prepared to litigate this matter to the U.S. Supreme Court. Governor Abbott boasts, "Along the Texas-Mexico border, Texas National Guard soldiers continue to erect and reinforce razor wire barriers while President Biden turns a blind eye to the border crisis." "While Biden continues to neglect his responsibilities at the border, Texas maintains its position."

This week, Texas National Guard soldiers demonstrated exceptional initiative in Brownsville by reinstating razor wire barriers that had been compromised by unauthorized individuals traversing and erecting a brand-new anti-climb barrier (ACB). The leader of the SRT-1, Captain Chris Daniel, explained that the ACB is constructed with an additional layer of razor wire on top and bottom to make it nearly impossible for trespassers to breach or circumvent.

The Texas National Guard is not one to take a chance, particularly in light of the intense criminal activity along the border. Trespassers have been employing wire cutters to breach barriers or concealing them with clothing in order to unlawfully enter the United States. However, the ACB reinforcement will make it more difficult for these merciless lawbreakers to breach the perimeter. Securing a formidable barrier that facilitates the apprehension of these malevolent individuals is of the utmost importance to Operation Lone Star personnel.

The Texas National Guard is not slack-off, and they have the unwavering support of the Texas Legislature. Texas has earmarked more than $11.5 billion for border security, and an additional $1.5 billion was recently authorized to continue construction on the state's first border wall. The aforementioned events are transpiring in Texas, which has been the primary destination for an astounding 1.9 million individuals who have entered the state illegally since the inauguration of President Joe Biden. That is information that The Center Square was the first to report on this matter directly from the horse!
