Lozada’s Leftist Rant Skews Reality on Federal Workers and Trump

The latest calamity in the ongoing saga of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” has rolled out like a well-executed punchline. With President Trump back in the driver’s seat, the left has once again proven that their grasp on reality is as tenuous as ever. The latest rant, courtesy of one Carlos Lozada in The New York Times, has taken a page from the playbook of melodramatic whining that leftists seem to get paid to produce.

In his latest opus titled “Apparently, America Is Full of the Wrong Kind of People,” Lozada has managed to concoct a surreal landscape where federal civil servants are painted as victims of Trump’s supposedly oppressive regime. He throws around words like “wrong” with such gusto that one can almost see him shaking his fist in righteous indignation. The insinuation that civil servants suffering from low productivity and questionable politics are somehow innocent bystanders is a nice touch—one that conveniently ignores their role in the bloated government bureaucracy.

The left’s insatiable need for victimhood is on full display in Lozada’s piece. By positioning federal employees as a beleaguered class facing the wrath of a vengeful administration, he attempts to drum up sympathy among readers. However, the reality is that many so-called victims have long been living comfortably amid waste and inefficiency while Americans pick up the tab. Trimming the bureaucratic fat isn’t just healthy fiscal policy; it’s common sense, a concept that seems foreign to those embedded in the Coastal Media Bubble™.

The column reads like a jumbled mishmash of leftist grievances, and Lozada makes sure to wring his hands over figures like Sarah Palin because why not? Tossing in references to anchor babies and open borders only serves to distract from the fact that the Democrats make excuses for illegal activities while simultaneously attempting to paint their adversaries as villains. This game of pointing fingers would be laughable if it wasn’t so painfully predictable.

The article stays clear of the uncomfortable truths about the bureaucrats involuntarily elected to uphold laws—those who have chosen instead to break them and incite unrest. A true patriot would advocate for a system where laws are followed, rather than ignored, whether they are the low-hanging fruit of inefficiency or the more serious issues of lawlessness. Yet, the Democratic leadership seems more interested in fomenting street fights than cleaning up their own backyard. If they truly believed in the sanctity of their claims, they would be fighting in the appropriate channels, armed with facts, instead of crying for mercy in their echo chambers.

Lozada’s attempt to paint Trump and his followers as the ones with the “dark view” of America hilariously lacks any awareness of the common man’s perspective. Real Americans know who stands up for them—spoiler alert: it’s not the left-wing media or their philosophical equals. Instead, citizens look to leaders who support the rule of law and traditional American values, which undeniably places Trump squarely in their corner. As events unfold, it’s clear that the real comedy lies not in the administration’s actions but rather in the continued implosion of the left’s argument as they navigate a reality that is becoming increasingly unwelcome.
