On Tuesday night, Rachel Maddow, the frequent proponent of baseless conspiracy theories and purveyor of fake news, made an absurd claim that MSNBC would never broadcast knowingly false content. The irony is not lost on the public as the liberal news network has a long-standing history of broadcasting unverified and dishonest material. Maddow attempted to justify her censorship of former President Donald Trump’s speech from his New Jersey golf club by arguing that “there is a cost to us as a news organization to knowingly broadcast untrue things.”

This coming from the same person who has dedicated years to promoting the Russia Collusion story, spreading fantastical claims about COVID vaccines, and treating Rep. Adam Schiff like an oracle despite his infamously false claims. To highlight Maddow’s hypocrisy, consider her ludicrous statement from 2021 that vaccines are so effective that “the virus stops with every vaccinated person.” We now know that to be entirely wrong.
It’s clear that Maddow has no self-awareness as she promotes censorship and boasts about broadcasting only factual information while simultaneously spreading propaganda. The real problem is that so many liberals soak up this fake news as gospel truth, leading them to misinformed and uninformed decisions. This is a result of MSNBC’s longstanding commitment to manufacturing fake news. The public should be alarmed and wary of such biased news sources, especially because individuals like Maddow pretend to serve as credible sources of information while manipulating the facts.
