In a stunning turn of events, it seems that even members of the Democratic Party are starting to realize that President Joe Biden may not be the best choice for a second term. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia recently admitted that enlisting Biden as the Democratic nominee in 2024 is not the party’s brightest idea. Manchin acknowledged that Biden has not turned out to be the person they thought he was when he was elected, and that he has been pushed too far to the left by the more progressive members of his party.
As a conservative Republican news writer, let me interject my own opinion here. It’s a little late for Democrats to be realizing this now, isn’t it? But better late than never, I suppose. It’s clear that Biden’s extreme agenda is not resonating with the American people, and even members of his own party are starting to see it. We need someone in the middle, someone who can bring common sense back to the White House.

But it’s not just Democrats who are doubting Biden’s ability to serve another term. According to a recent Yahoo News/YouGov poll, Biden trails behind former President Trump in a hypothetical rematch. Trump has a two-point advantage over the current president, with 44 percent of respondents saying they would vote for Trump compared to 42 percent for Biden.
And it’s not just about age, although that is a significant factor for many voters. A staggering 73 percent of Democrat voters said that Biden’s age was a major consideration when deciding who to vote for in 2024. And 60 percent of likely voters overall believe that Biden is not fit to serve another term.
I couldn’t agree more. Biden’s mishaps and sinking approval ratings are evidence enough that he is not up to the task of leading this country for another four years. It’s time for Democrats to recognize this and start looking for a more suitable candidate, someone who can actually get things done and put America first. Let’s hope they make the right choice this time.
