While the left keeps shouting about “global citizenship” and open borders, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is actually standing up for America. On his trip across Europe, Rubio is sending a message that should have been obvious for decades: No foreigner is entitled to walk into our country just because they want to. America is not some battered doormat for the world’s migrants to storm through whenever they please.
Liberals love to pretend that everyone, from every corner of the globe, somehow has a “right” to a spot in the United States. They act like it’s an act of cruelty to have any standards, any rules. Who do they think pays the price for this foolishness? It’s not their gated communities or cozy jobs that get overrun; it’s everyday Americans who bear the brunt. While globalist elites sip champagne in Brussels, they expect working families here at home to shoulder the burden of unchecked migration.

Rubio’s stance is a breath of fresh air in a world choking on weak-kneed appeasement. The truth is, no outsider deserves a free pass into the greatest country on Earth. Visas are a privilege, not a promise. But liberals sneer at this basic reality, accusing anyone who believes in borders of bigotry. It’s their favorite game—smear proud Americans while pandering to foreign interests.
America’s generosity should have limits. When we say “no” to open borders, it’s not racism. It’s common sense. It’s about protecting our jobs, our safety, and our way of life. The left would gladly sell us out to serve their “global community,” but Rubio is making it clear: America comes first, not the approval of European bureaucrats or radical activists.
It’s about time someone in Washington had the guts to remind the world: American citizenship is earned, not handed out like candy at Halloween. The question is, how much longer will Democrats keep putting foreigners ahead of their own countrymen—and how long will real Americans put up with it?
