Conservative radio host and author Mark Levin didn’t hold back when expressing his disappointment in Democratic lawmakers who chose to skip the screening of “Sound of Freedom,” a film that highlights the horrors of child trafficking. The event, hosted by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, featured the film’s star Jim Caviezel, producer Eduardo Verástegui, and anti-human trafficking activist Tim Ballard.

Levin emphasized the gravity of the issue, stating, “It’s heart-wrenching to see what goes on with these kids, and the fact that there’s so little attention on it is really unbelievable, and it also shows what goes on with open borders when the cartels, the kidnappers, the sex traffickers, they control that border.” By missing this screening, Levin argued, Democrats missed an opportunity to confront this pressing issue head-on.

Levin also raised concerns about the thousands of missing children and the Biden administration’s inability to keep track of them. He criticized the lack of Democratic presence at the event, suggesting that their absence reflects their failure to address the mounting problems at the border. “To some extent, we’re seeing the consequences of what they’re failing to do,” he added.
Levin didn’t mince words when it came to the Biden administration and the Democrats, accusing them of prioritizing power over the law. “It’s all about power, and they’re utterly lawless,” he stated. He pointed out that the open border is being exploited by drug cartels, further highlighting the urgency of addressing the issue.
Despite invitations sent to all House members, no Democrats were spotted at the screening. McCarthy, however, hailed the event as “fabulous” and explained that he chose “Sound of Freedom” to shed light on the critical issue of child trafficking. He hoped the film would motivate action against child trafficking wherever it exists, stressing the necessity for people to stand up and make a difference.
The screening attracted notable figures such as American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp, Christian recording artist Danny Gokey, and former NBA player Enes Kanter. “Sound of Freedom” has been a commercial success, grossing an impressive $124 million at the box office since its release on July 4.
