The left has taken over the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and Chief Justice Annette Ziegler has called the move a "coup." The appointment of liberal Justice Janet Protasiewicz has dramatically changed the balance of power in that court. In a swift manner, the new majority has given her the power to create a new three-justice panel.
The state court's director, Randy Koschnick, was also removed from his position. According to Ziegler, this is an unprecedented power grab.
The power shift is alarming, as it shows the left's continued attempt to control the court. The court's conservative members are outraged by this attempt to undermine their voice. In her emails to her colleagues, Ziegler denounced the coup, and she noted that it is destructive of the judiciary and the constitution. This power play will have long-term repercussions.
On the other hand, the liberal justices are defending their actions. Rebecca Dallet, who was one of the individuals who removed Ziegler, accused him of violating the court's rules and undermining the justices' pursuit of justice. This shows that the left does not want to uphold the rule of law or ensure that the courts are impartial. The power grab by the left gives them an opportunity to push their agenda in a state that has heavily favored the Democratic Party in recent elections.

In a statement, Rebecca Bradley, a conservative justice, criticized the court's liberal members, accusing them of orchestrating a biased case regarding the drawing of legislative districts in Wisconsin. This shows how the judiciary is being used as a tool by the left to advance their agenda. The court should not be used as a rubber stamp for their agenda.
Ziegler further stated that the actions of the left will have detrimental effects on the judiciary and the court. She has also lost confidence in the newly constituted committee of justices, which she considers to be an invented body. Koschnick claimed that their conduct could lead to impeachment, as they had repeatedly violated the constitution.
The left's power grab is deeply worrying, as it shows that they intend to do whatever it takes to advance their goals, even if it means undermining the judiciary's integrity and stability. Wisconsin's conservative members must continue fighting back.
