In a shocking turn of events, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has suddenly changed his tune on the border wall issue. Previously, he had called for the waiver of federal laws to build a wall in South Texas, but now he’s flip-flopped and is singing a different tune. What happened to sticking to your principles, Mr. Mayorkas?
Apparently, Mayorkas is just parroting President Joe Biden’s words from his first days in office, stating that there will be “not another foot of wall constructed” during his administration. How convenient that Mayorkas conveniently forgets his previous stance on the matter. It’s clear that the Biden Administration is more interested in scoring political points than actually protecting our borders.
Mayorkas tried to clarify his position, stating that there is no new policy regarding border walls and that the language in the Federal Register notice is being taken out of context. But let’s call a spade a spade here. The Biden Administration’s stance on border walls is nothing short of inhumane. By refusing to secure our borders, they are essentially inviting illegal immigrants to flood into our country, disregarding the safety and well-being of American citizens.

According to Mayorkas, there is an “acute and immediate need” for a border wall in South Texas, citing the alarming number of migrant encounters in the sector this fiscal year. But instead of taking decisive action to address this crisis, the Biden Administration is playing politics and putting the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of the American people.
It’s not surprising that Customs Border and Protection sources have reported record-breaking numbers of encounters at the border. In September alone, there were over 260,000 encounters, the highest monthly total on record. And in August, Border Patrol agents made over 181,000 arrests at the Mexican border. This is a clear indication that we are facing a crisis at our southern border, and yet the Biden Administration refuses to acknowledge it.
Now more than ever, we need strong leadership and decisive action to secure our borders and protect American citizens. It’s time for the Biden Administration to put aside their partisan agenda and prioritize the safety and security of our nation. We cannot afford to have a porous border that allows illegal immigrants to enter unchecked. It’s time to build the wall and enforce our immigration laws. Enough is enough.
