Further contextualization reveals just how absurd the mainstream media’s tactics can be. Rep. Luna, who was aboard the flight and aware of the exchange, clarified that she was experiencing severe pregnancy symptoms—specifically, pre-eclampsia. Trump had offered her a place to rest and even ensured there was a medical team on board. Her husband was present, so any insinuation of impropriety is utterly baseless. Yet, to The Daily Beast and co., this kindness was apparently ripe material for scandal.

The Congresswoman’s public response to the outrageous headline illustrated just how off-base the media narrative truly is.
