Perhaps what baffles many is how quickly this ambitious actress has transformed into a cautionary tale of entitlement—critiquing her bosses and spewing divisive rhetoric. Hollywood is teeming with talented young ingenues who can sing, act, and smile without simultaneously sparking a nationwide debate or demeaning swathes of the audience. It seems Zegler’s career could soon be heading toward a hiatus unless she discovers a bit more humility to match her talent.
