Michael Cohen, once the confidant of the former President, appears to have climbed aboard the latest trainwreck of the anti-Trump brigade, and the view isn’t pretty. With President-elect Donald Trump on the brink of taking office, it’s clear that these so-called “resisters” are experiencing a meltdown of epic proportions. Cohen was last seen on MSNBC’s “The Weekend,” desperately trying to squeeze a pardon from Joe Biden, proving just how far the left is willing to go to save their own skin.
His antics were amusing in a pathetic sort of way. Cohen argued that Biden owed him a pardon, akin to the one he extended to his son Hunter. The former lawyer believes that if Biden’s family member got a free pass on numerous alleged federal misdeeds, then surely he should also benefit from the same liberal application of justice. It almost felt like watching a child throw a tantrum over not getting a toy while their sibling is flaunting the newest gadget.
Michael Cohen is now begging for a pardon on MSNBC:
“I would expect that the same exact pardon he gave his son has to go to me…”
“Hunter Biden is the president’s last surviving son.”
“I’m somebody’s son also.”
“But you’re not the president’s son.” 😭pic.twitter.com/CKXlWsPo3C

Cohen’s approach, however, is not the kind to win any favors. Even the show’s host, Symone Sanders, pointed out the absurdity of Cohen’s logic, cautioning that attempting to play the family card was unlikely to get him any closer to the presidential imprimatur. Instead of soaring like an eagle, Cohen was flapping around like a turkey, and the left-leaning crowd savored that spectacle. Yet, no amount of pleading on air seems likely to change Biden’s mind about giving Cohen a pass, especially when he’s already under scrutiny for the “goodwill gestures” he made towards family.
It’s hard not to chuckle at the predicament Cohen finds himself in, especially when he stated some months back that he would bolt the country if Trump were to secure a win. With talk of passports and new identities, he offered a glimpse into just how far he’s fallen from his previous station. Those comments unleashed a wave of trolling that seemed to identify his attempt to flee as nothing more than a poorly-executed joke. Cohen’s own dramatic declarations are turning into the punchlines of late-night shows as he bounces between his demands and his failures like a pinball.
Ultimately, the comical part of all this is the idea of Cohen, the quintessential anti-Trump figure, doggedly pursuing Biden for the same leniency the left once criticized harshly. Surely, the irony isn’t lost when he demands compassion akin to what was lavished on Hunter Biden, while simultaneously hoping for some magic that would allow him to evade accountability. If this is the best the anti-Trump crowd can muster, then they’re not just in for a rough ride—they’re teetering on the edge of a cliff with nowhere to go but down.
