Minnesota State Fair Sees Surge in Support for Never Walz Movement

Tim Walz has been feeling the heat ever since he was rolled out as Kamala Harris’ running mate for the 2024 presidential election. That spotlight comes with its fair share of scrutiny, especially when the folks back home in Minnesota have had quite enough of his antics. At this year’s Minnesota State Fair, the “Never Walz” booth, spearheaded by Action 4 Liberty MN, is helping those disgruntled constituents express their displeasure in a rather public and humorous way.

This booth is attracting long lines of fairgoers eager to snag “Never Walz” merchandise, signaling a clear message to the governor. An eye-catching sign greets attendees, and the spin-the-wheel game offers fans and T-shirts to anyone ready to take a stand against Walz’s policies. The conservative nonprofit behind the booth has made it their mission to call out the RINOs and leftists who dare to undermine freedoms, and their continued efforts have clearly resonated with the audience.

Former Minnesota state Rep. Erik Mortensen, a leader at Action 4 Liberty, has been vocal about the organization’s goal to expose Walz’s perceived overreach during his tenure. The booth’s theme ties back to Walz’s controversial decisions during the pandemic, which many believe rendered the governor a self-styled authority rather than a servant of the people. The backlash focuses on his lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine regulations that many Minnesotans found excessively stringent.

The discontent doesn’t just end with pandemic measures. The booth’s organizers are quick to highlight what they view as Walz’s extreme legislative overreach, ranging from stripping parental rights regarding medical decisions to enacting late-term abortion policies without any restrictions. Such actions are viewed as a direct affront to the values held by many in the state, and Mortensen’s comments remind attendees that they are well aware of who is leading their state astray.

While the creative ribbing at the Minnesota State Fair is certainly amusing, it underscores a larger truth about the state’s political climate. Minnesota has historically leaned Democratic, and the chances of flipping it in the upcoming presidential election seem remote. However, every jab at the Harris-Walz campaign is seen as a small victory, a reminder that discontent simmers below the surface. As elections approach and political fervor rises, every little bit of resistance can add up, pushing back against the encroaching tide of leftist governance.
