Yesterday marked a significant and somber occasion in American history: the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. This devastating act of terror claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 innocent Americans as they went about their daily routines in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and aboard United 93. These brave individuals on United 93 demonstrated unimaginable courage as they fought against the terrorists, sacrificing their own lives to protect countless others.
It’s difficult to comprehend the magnitude of the tragedy that unfolded on that fateful day. However, what’s even more disheartening is how some on the Left have chosen to exploit this national tragedy for their own political agenda. Rather than honoring the memory of those who lost their lives and paying tribute to the heroes who emerged in the aftermath of the attacks, individuals like Tristian Snell and S.V. Dáte have decided to use 9/11 as an opportunity to spew their ideological rhetoric.

These liberal commentators have shamelessly compared the January 6 incident at the Capitol to the 9/11 attacks, labeling both as acts of terrorism. Such assertions are not only delusional but also disrespectful to the memory of those who perished and to the countless first responders who risked their lives to save others. It is truly disheartening to witness the Left’s incessant need to inject their divisive narratives into even the most solemn of occasions.
As conservatives, we must remain vigilant and ensure that the memory of 9/11 is not tarnished by those who seek to divide us. We must stand united in honoring the victims and heroes of that tragic day, and reject the attempts to distort and exploit this sacred moment in American history. Today, let us remember and honor those we lost, and recommit ourselves to the unity and resilience that defined our nation in the aftermath of 9/11.
