The timing could not be more perfect for conservatives who have watched this network crumble for years. MSNBC has been hemorrhaging viewers as Americans wake up to their lies and bias. Now they think a silly name change will fool people into forgetting years of fake news and Trump derangement syndrome.
What makes this even more hilarious is that just seven months ago, network executives promised staff the MSNBC name would stay the same. Mark Lazarus, who heads the new parent company called Versant, told employees not to worry about any name changes. So much for keeping promises when your network is sinking faster than the Titanic.
The new name “My Source News Opinion World” sounds like something a middle schooler would come up with for a class project. It is confusing, wordy, and completely forgettable. Americans already know where to get real news, and it is not from the people who spent years pushing Russian collusion hoaxes.
