Musk Eyeballs Lemon’s Cash Flow Despite CNN Exit

Elon Musk, the visionary behind X, has affirmed that Don Lemon's earning potential remains intact despite his absence from CNN. Musk's statement came in response to Lemon's appearance on The View, where he discussed the dissolution of his deal with the social media platform. Lemon asserted that his show was always destined for broader distribution, but initially, X held exclusive rights to specific time slots.

Originally brokered through Range Media Partners, the deal encompassed shows by former Fox Sports host Jim Rome and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, alongside Lemon's program. Lemon's show will now be available for streaming on YouTube and various podcast platforms, alongside X.

In his trademark style, Musk took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on Lemon, branding him a "pompous fool who spouts nonsense." Nonetheless, Musk clarified that Lemon is still welcome to upload his show to X and will continue to benefit from advertising revenue.

In response to Musk's remarks, Lemon threw down the gauntlet, inviting him to watch The Don Lemon Show and then judge if it aligns with Musk's vision for his platform. The premiere of Lemon's show is scheduled for Monday.

Meanwhile, Lemon has been vocal about his departure from CNN after a 17-year stint. While hinting at his "journalistic duty" being on the line, Lemon has refrained from delving into the specifics of his exit. He was ousted by then-CEO Chris Licht, who himself departed the network shortly after Lemon's departure.

The upcoming debut of Lemon's show on X signals a new phase in the controversial host's career. Despite any reservations Musk may harbor, Lemon will persist in navigating the media landscape and, undoubtedly, collecting his dues.
