Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s blunt warning about Iran — “They’re doing everything without nuclear weapons now, think what would happen, what kind of world we’ll have if they had nuclear weapons” — is not alarmism, it’s a sober appraisal of an existential threat that has stalked the Middle East for decades. Netanyahu has spent years sounding the alarm and making the case that permissive diplomacy only delays the danger, not eliminates it.

Americans should insist their leaders treat the Iranian regime as the strategic threat it is, not as a partner to be gently coaxed.
We should also remember the trove of evidence that Iran did pursue clandestine pathways toward weaponization, which validates the fears Netanyahu articulates and undermines naive claims that Iran’s program is purely civilian. Patriots who cherish freedom and the rule of law must demand a policy that combines relentless intelligence, hardened sanctions, and, when necessary, surgical military options to stop regimes that would reshape the world with bombs and terror. This is not warmongering — it’s stewardship of peace for our children and grandchildren; failing to confront Tehran now risks a far more dangerous and expensive fight later.
