Trump wasted no time in kicking off his second term with a politically-incorrect bang by unleashing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on illegal migrants with criminal records. Naturally, the Democrats and their media buddies threw a fit, lamenting about human rights and compassion as if harboring criminals is a humanitarian crisis. However, a recent poll reveals that the vast majority of New Yorkers couldn’t care less about the whining; they’re all aboard the deportation express.
According to the poll commissioned by Siena College, a whopping 79% of New Yorkers back the deportation of illegal aliens with criminal records, while a mere 11% oppose the idea. This isn’t just a party-line split; even a significant portion of the opposing party’s voters seem to agree with Trump’s tough stance. Substantial majorities of Republicans, independents, and even Democrats are ready to kick out the bad apples.
JUST IN: A vast majority of New Yorkers support the deportation of undocumented migrants with criminal convictions, according to a new poll.

The poll’s findings indicate that an overwhelming 91% of Republicans, 86% of independents, and a not-so-shabby 69% of Democrats support sending criminal illegals packing. Conversely, the numbers drop significantly when it comes to deporting non-criminal illegals, where only 39% of New Yorkers are in favor. But it seems that even among Republicans, there’s only so much tolerance; 64% are still on board for it, while 15% resist.
Interestingly, the survey also finds that a plurality of New Yorkers, 48%-31%, think their state’s leaders should cooperate with federal immigration efforts. This cooperative spirit clearly has its roots in common sense; why would any rational person prefer to protect criminals over those who uphold the law? And who surprises us here? The Democrats. Only 28% of them believe in cooperating with federal authorities, illustrating just how out of touch they are with the average voter.
Another jaw-dropper emerges from The Epoch Times, showing that the Trump administration’s early deportation efforts had impressive numbers. A staggering 97% of over 5,000 deported illegal migrants had prior criminal records or settled removal orders. As press secretary Karoline Leavitt pointed out, the administration is done with the chaos left in the wake of the previous administration’s avoidance of immigration laws. The message is clear: criminals need to go, and the Trump team isn’t messing around. They’re not just talking tough; they’re backing it up with action, proving that law and order matters more than political correctness.
