It looks like the Newsom family can’t go a month without a new scandal. This time, it’s Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California’s failed governor, caught with her hand in the cookie jar—her supposed “nonprofit” meant to fight “gender stereotypes” has nearly four million reasons for her to keep the grift going. IRS filings show she paid herself and her for-profit firm a stunning amount—up to a third of the charity’s income—year after year. The so-called Representation Project brought in over a million a year, with hundreds of thousands going straight to Newsom’s pockets. Apparently, fighting “gender norms” is very, very profitable—at least if your last name is Newsom.
People on the left love to preach about “equity,” but the Newsoms’ idea of equity looks a lot like padding their own bank accounts. While working families across California struggle to pay their bills, the governor’s wife is rolling in six-figure salaries courtesy of her donors. And that’s not counting the trust fund fortune she already enjoys. They tell us they’re champions for the poor but thread their own nests with donor cash. Liberal hypocrisy at its finest.

What did Californians actually get for all this money? Cringe-worthy “documentaries” and school lessons filled with tired, debunked talking points about the so-called wage gap—pushed right into classrooms with help from the state. Instead of honest education, students get force-fed leftist dogma while Jennifer Siebel Newsom laughs all the way to the bank. That’s the Democrat elite in action: use public institutions to promote their pet agenda, and raid the funding for themselves.
And let’s not forget, this isn’t the first time the Newsoms’ dealings have smelled fishy. Tens of billions wasted on California’s homelessness “crisis,” with no progress except fatter wallets for insiders. More and more, the Newsoms treat public office like a family business. Their network of backroom donations—“behested payments”—shows big businesses currying favor by lining Newsom-linked causes with cash. Anyone who thinks this is just politics as usual isn’t paying attention.
The truth is simple: the Newsoms believe the rules don’t apply to them, and they use the language of social justice to cover up old-fashioned greed. If Gavin Newsom wants a shot at higher office, Americans need to look long and hard at this record of mismanagement, self-dealing, and phony virtue signaling. Why trust a family that’s turned the progressive scam into an art form?
