"Oh by the way, I'm Gavin Newsom's father-in-law," DeSantis revealed, insinuating that Newsom's family had also relocated from California to Florida in search of a better life.
Kenneth Siebel, the father-in-law of Newsom, vehemently refuted DeSantis' allegations in a Daily Mail interview. Siebel stated that he and his spouse relocated from Montana to Florida, not California itself. DeSantis was accused of fabrication and lying to support his own narrative. Siebel maintains he relocated to Florida to be closer to his friends, not because California was intolerable, despite having spent decades in California prior to relocating to Montana.
