In a recent interview on Fox News with guest host Pete Hegseth, former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich made the bold claim that former President Barack Obama is actually running the Biden administration. According to Gingrich, Biden may not be fully aware of what’s going on, as he seems more focused on going on vacations while the country is facing various crises. Gingrich humorously pointed out that Biden has a pretty good life and doesn’t seem to realize the disastrous situation piling up for the Democratic Party.

Gingrich went on to say that he personally believes Obama is the driving force behind the Biden administration. He argued that Obama is different from other former presidents because he has chosen to stay in Washington, unlike Woodrow Wilson who stayed due to a severe stroke. Gingrich noted that Obama’s presence and influence can be seen by how his staff permeates the Biden administration. He also praised Obama’s intelligence, contrasting it with Biden’s supposed problems with cognitive decline.
The former House Speaker further emphasized that the current administration is more like an Obama administration than the Joe Biden of 10 or 15 years ago. In Gingrich’s conservative opinion, this is a concerning sign as he views the Biden administration as radical and left-wing, dedicated to policies that he believes are “close to crazy.” He specifically criticized their electric car policy, arguing that it will destroy jobs and achieve nothing in the long run. Additionally, he mocked their potential proposal of limiting Americans to two beers a week, referring to it as “petty nanny state interference.”
Gingrich’s claim that Obama is running the Biden administration has been circulating for some time now. It was previously reported by The Daily Fetched in July that Obama is working behind the scenes to remove Biden from the race because he is deemed “too old” to win. Recent meetings between Obama and young House Democrats have sparked speculation about his involvement and his potential belief that Biden is becoming a liability. Overall, Gingrich’s remarks add fuel to the conservative narrative that the Biden administration is being heavily influenced by Obama and pursuing policies that lean too far to the left.
