NFL’s Political Playbook Turns Off Fans with Divisive Anthems

The NFL kicked off its 2025 season with the same tired playbook we see every year. Before the Cowboys and Eagles faced off, they forced fans to sit through the so-called “Black National Anthem” once again. Most fans in the stadium talked right over it because they had no idea what was happening.

This is nothing but divisive virtue signaling at its worst. America has one national anthem that represents every single citizen who has ever bled for this great country. Black Americans, white Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Americans of every background have fought and died under the same flag.

The NFL keeps pushing this garbage even though nobody asked for it. Fans are sick and tired of having politics shoved down their throats when they just want to watch football. Every year they pull this stunt, and every year they get blasted for it by real Americans.

Why stop at a “Black National Anthem” if we’re going down this road? What about Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, or Asian Americans? The NFL’s logic makes no sense because it’s not about inclusion at all.

When Boyz II Men finally performed the real Star-Spangled Banner, fans ripped them apart for a terrible performance. One fan called it “one of the worst renditions” they’d ever heard. Another said it sounded more like a Christmas carol than our national anthem.

The whole thing was a complete disaster from start to finish. Fans on social media were brutal in their criticism. They’re fed up with the NFL treating them like idiots who need to be lectured about unity while actively dividing the country.

This is what happens when woke corporate executives think they know better than the American people. The NFL makes billions off patriotic fans who love this country. Then they turn around and spit in their faces with this divisive nonsense.

It’s time for the NFL to get back to football and stop playing politics. We have one nation and one flag that every American should be proud to stand for. Real unity comes from celebrating what brings us together, not what tears us apart.
