The sunshine state, represented by stalwarts like the ever-resilient Governor DeSantis and future hopeful Byron Donalds, is playing host to a fast-growing number of conservatives. With enticing offers of no state income tax, lower business costs, and a focus on personal freedom, we’re seeing a veritable wave of New Yorkers looking to trade in snow for sand. Quite the upgrade if you ask any beach lover!
In places like Boca Raton, they’re rolling out the welcome mat specifically for these new transplants, telling them that, unlike the frozen territories they’re fleeing from, Boca offers a low-tax haven with a robust business environment. It’s like they’re dangling the American Dream right in front of them, saying, “Come on in, the water’s fine!” And let’s not forget it’s situated deliciously close to the Mar-a-Lago—we all know whose stomping grounds those are.
Now, some may wonder if it’s the pleasant weather or the lack of state income tax pulling in these northbound escapees. Perhaps it’s the freedom from overly zealous government regulations, a stark contrast to what they’ve grown accustomed to up north.
