NYC Mayor Adams’ DEFCON-1 Warning on Illegals Sparks Outrage, Chicago Mayor Claps Back

New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently gave a DEFCON-1 speech about the detrimental effects of illegal aliens on the city, and the reactions from the Left have been nothing short of spectacular. It’s no surprise that they’re up in arms about it, but that’s part of what makes it so entertaining for the rest of us. Mayor Adams, who happens to be a black man, has been compared to Bill Cutting from Gangs of New York, which is quite the comparison to live up to. But you know what? He’s absolutely right. The city simply cannot continue to absorb 10,000 migrants each month indefinitely. It’s draining billions from the city’s coffers, and Mayor Adams isn’t playing around. He warned that if financial aid doesn’t arrive soon, 15 percent agency cuts could be coming, leading to potential job losses and service reductions across the board.

And while Mayor Adams is sounding the alarm in New York City, Mayor Brandon Johnson of Chicago seems to be taking a completely different approach. He’s clapping back at Mayor Adams, claiming that the large number of migrants coming from the US-Mexico border won’t destroy his city. Well, it’s easy for Mayor Johnson to say that when he’s not dealing with the same staggering numbers as New York City. It’s been revealed that over 110,000 migrants have arrived in the Big Apple since April 2022, resulting in a $12 billion budget deficit. These numbers are no joke, and every service in the city is feeling the strain.

Mayor Johnson’s plan to erect heated tents in Chicago to house thousands of migrants during the harsh midwest winter while their asylum applications are processed might seem compassionate on the surface. But what about the people of Chicago, especially those living on the South Side? Are they happy about having even more illegal aliens dumped into their neighborhoods? Absolutely not! They’re not feeling warm and fuzzy about it; in fact, they’re furious. All summer long, Chicago residents have been frustrated with the pro-illegal alien homecoming antics. But Mayor Johnson seems to be turning a blind eye to the concerns of his own constituents.

The truth of the matter is that Mayor Adams is right to sound the alarm about the impact of illegal immigration on New York City. The financial strain is real, and hardworking New Yorkers are feeling the consequences. It’s time for the Biden administration and state legislators to provide the necessary financial aid to address this crisis. Otherwise, the city will be forced to make painful cuts to essential services, hurting both longtime residents and asylum seekers alike. The left may try to dismiss these concerns, but they can’t ignore the realities on the ground. It’s time for action, not empty words.
