Don Peebles, a real estate bigwig out of Florida and a top supporter of ex-President Barack Obama, is hitting back hard at New York’s Attorney General Letitia James for going after former President Donald Trump. Peebles showed up on Fox News, calling the real estate moves of the Trump clan a “victimless crime” and throwing shade on James’ lawsuit, saying it should never have even seen the light of day. I mean, come on, why pick on poor old Trump, right?

He went on to tell Neil Cavuto that this whole thing feels like a big setup targeting Trump and making him out to be some sort of martyr. It’s like they’re just waiting for him to slip up so they can pounce. It’s clear as day to Peebles that if it weren’t for Trump being in the hot seat, this whole circus wouldn’t even be happening. And let’s be real here, the fact that they’re going after Trump’s properties just goes to show how far the left will go to take down anyone who doesn’t toe their line.
Peebles, who’s a Black dude, was all up in Obama’s business back in ’08, raising money and throwing fancy parties for him. He’s even been involved in backing some progressive causes, but when it comes to going after Trump, he’s got no problem letting his conservative flag fly. He sees this whole legal drama as nothing but a way to harass Trump and make life hard for successful folks in New York. It’s like a warning sign saying, “Don’t you dare make it big or else we’ll come after you too!”
And of course, you’ve got Trump in the mix, fighting tooth and nail against this whole mess. His team’s trying to delay paying up while they figure things out, claiming they’ve been turned down left and right when trying to secure a bond. But James isn’t buying it, saying there’s no proof companies won’t help out. It’s a real he-said-she-said situation, with Trump crying foul and James holding her ground. But in the end, it’s just another example of how the left will stop at nothing to take down their enemies, even if it means twisting the law to do it.
