Robert McGee says his minority-owned business faced unfair treatment and excessive demands that nearly bankrupted his company.
Obama’s team bragged about setting diversity quotas and requiring 35 percent of contracts go to minority businesses. They wanted to create a new standard for inclusion in construction projects across America. Instead, they created a legal nightmare that shows how DEI programs often hurt the very people they claim to help.
The environmental damage is just as bad as the financial waste. Obama chose to build his center in Jackson Park, a treasured public space designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. More than 1,000 mature trees will be cut down, and the construction threatens migratory birds near Lake Michigan.
Long-time South Side residents are being pushed out by rising costs and gentrification tied to the Obama Center. These families have called this neighborhood home for decades, but now they face displacement thanks to Obama’s vanity project.
