In a world where the left clings to supposed “wisdom” from the past, former President Obama is busy playing coach to the Democrats. They’re seeking his advice on how to beat the Republicans, once more proving how desperate they’ve become. Obama, the man credited with smashing the conservative agenda, ironically left his own party in shambles. Under his reign, state Democratic parties wilted, leaving a gap that has only widened in the MAGA era.
The Democrats are trying desperately to hold onto their narrative, gathering the faithful to share crackers and tales of fighting off cynicism. Yet how funny it is that the very cynicism Obama warns against is what led to their undoing. Preaching from coastal ivory towers, they lost touch with the heartland, a mistake that cost them dearly when their attempts to prop up Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton crumbled under the GOP’s populist uprising.

Once the emblem of a supposedly diverse, inclusive party, Obama now faces the daunting task of rallying a coalition that seems more like a relic of the past than a vision for the future. Obama himself tried to put life back into a party on the verge of collapse, but his attempts were a spectacular failure. As the Democrats slide further into elitism, the once-dominant coalition stands as a monument to liberal incompetence.
There’s an unsettling irony in watching Obama attempt to resurrect the party he inadvertently weakened. Even he seems to sense the looming dread as the GOP rises as a multiracial, working-class powerhouse. After the whirlwind of the 2024 elections, it’s clear to anyone paying attention that the Democrats are treading water.
Obama’s recent gathering hints at the truth no liberal wants to admit: the Democratic Party is in trouble. Without the Obama magic, they flounder. So what’s next? Can this party, built on outdated principles and failed promises, survive in today’s political landscape?
