It’s been revealed that a former aide to the outspoken Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been making big bucks by running an anti-President Joe Biden political action committee. This ex-aide, Corbin Trent, rolled in nearly $140,000 from the No Excuses PAC while tossing a measly amount of donor funds toward its supposed mission, according to records.

Trent set up the No Excuses PAC in 2021 to push centrist Senate Democrats to back left-wing policies and get rid of the filibuster. But wait, there’s more! The PAC has recently shifted its focus to urging Biden not to seek reelection in 2024. The real kicker? The PAC spent less than $15,000 on radio ads targeting Sen. Joe Manchin and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, which has sparked concerns about ethical practices from progressive watchdogs.
The Federal Election Commission filings show that Trent paid himself handsomely for “campaign finance consulting” and “communications consulting,” with the PAC reported to have a mere $1,552 on hand in its most recent filing. And get this, folks — Trent claims the No Excuses PAC produces a podcast called “Building the Dream,” but they haven’t put out a single episode since October 2021.
But wait, there’s more! The hosts of the podcast are affiliated with Justice Democrats, a PAC linked to Ocasio-Cortez, where Trent is a co-founder. It seems like Trent is using the PAC to stuff his pockets rather than actually fighting for the cause it claims to support.
To make matters worse, the No Excuses PAC spent thousands of dollars on fancy hotels and airfare, with the largest single payment of nearly $8,800 going to Trent for consulting. What a gig, am I right?
All the while, the PAC was asking for donations to run ads targeting Manchin and Sinema and demanding an end to the filibuster. It’s a classic case of “do as I say, not as I do,” and it’s giving off some serious “swampy” vibes.
