East Palestine, Ohio Mayor Trent Conaway has once again criticized President Joe Biden’s response to the toxic explosion that rocked the town. And boy, did he hit the nail on the head! In a recent interview on Fox, Mayor Conaway stood firm on his previous statement suggesting that the best time for Biden to visit would be in February 2025 when he’s on his book tour. You know, because it seems like Biden is more interested in promoting himself than actually helping the people of East Palestine.
I mean, seriously, folks! The town was devastated by this explosion, and what does Biden do? He’s too busy jetting off to India and Vietnam, gallivanting around the world, instead of showing up when it really matters. It’s like he’s playing a real-life game of “Where’s Waldo?” But instead of finding Waldo, we’re all left wondering, “Where’s Biden?”

The people of East Palestine deserve better. They deserve a president who will roll up his sleeves and get to work. Not one who has his head stuck in a book, probably scribbling self-praise in the margins. And let’s not forget that President Donald Trump, a man of action, actually took the time to visit East Palestine just one month after the tragedy. Now that’s leadership!
But it’s not just about the lack of a visit. It’s about the delayed and inadequate federal response. The Biden administration should have been on the ground, providing support and resources to the affected communities. Instead, they were too busy twiddling their thumbs, leaving the people of East Palestine to suffer.
Mayor Conaway has been a true voice for the people throughout this entire ordeal. He’s been calling for accountability from both the company responsible for the train derailment, Norfolk Southern, and federal officials. And you know what? He’s absolutely right to do so. It’s about time someone stood up and held these people responsible.
In the end, the people of East Palestine need real leadership, not empty promises. They need a president who will put them first, instead of his own ego. And if Biden continues to ignore their cries for help, well, I have a feeling they won’t forget it come election time.
