A group of pro-Palestinian activists caused quite a stir at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade by pulling off a disruptive stunt. Covered in fake blood and glued to the pavement of 6th Avenue, these individuals halted the parade in its tracks. The New York Post reports that the protesters donned white jumpsuits splattered with red, carrying signs bearing slogans like “Liberation for Palestine and Planet.” They chanted their messages while some of them even pretended to be dead on the ground, as if they had just walked out of a zombie movie. The spectators responded with loud boos, clearly not appreciating the disturbance.

Fox News reveals that the protesters were heard shouting phrases like “There is only one solution, intifada revolution.” Ah, yes, the typical charm of those who advocate for violence and unrest. But it didn’t stop there. Some of the activists also chanted, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” which is essentially a call for the annihilation of Israel. How charming. To top it all off, their jumpsuits were adorned with words like “militarism,” “racism,” and “ethnic cleansing.” Subtle, isn’t it?
As one officer attempted to move them, a protester claimed to be glued down and demanded a ceasefire. The activist argued that the Palestinians deserved the right to return to their “ancestral land.” Of course, completely ignoring the fact that Israel is the ancestral land of the Jewish people as well. But hey, facts aren’t really their strong suit, are they?
To add some variety to the chaos, one of the activists decided to throw some climate change messaging into the mix. Because why not? According to them, there’s not only an ongoing genocide, but our planet is also dying. Truly, they don’t miss an opportunity to connect unrelated issues and stir up emotions.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) eventually intervened and took two of these pro-Palestinian protesters into custody. But not before some of the activists cried out in pain as they were being moved. Oh, the drama! Meanwhile, parade spectators expressed their frustration, rightly pointing out that these troublemakers were ruining the joyful atmosphere they had eagerly anticipated. One attendee voiced their annoyance, saying, “It’s pissing me off. Do it somewhere else. Not today, they’re ruining the parade. They super-glued their hands to the street. These people worked hard to be in this parade.”
And there you have it, folks. While families gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving and enjoy the Macy’s parade, a group of attention-seeking activists thought it would be appropriate to rain on everyone’s parade, quite literally. Their disrespectful and disruptive behavior only adds to the long list of antics we’ve come to expect from those who would rather create chaos than engage in productive dialogue. Oh, the joys of activism.
