Pope Fights Lung Inflammation to March for Climate Change!

Pope Francis, despite battling an illness, announced on Sunday that he will be attending a climate conference in Dubai later this week. The Pope, who addressed a crowd at the Vatican City, revealed that he would be joining the blessing via video instead of appearing at the window overlooking St. Peter’s Square. In his address, he shared that he was currently dealing with inflammation of the lungs.

Now, I have to give props to the Pope for his dedication. Going to a climate conference while not feeling well takes some serious commitment. Maybe he could bring some holy water and bless the delegates so they actually start making progress on climate change. Just a thought.

Anyway, the Pope was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli hospital on Saturday for tests, which thankfully came back negative for any respiratory problems. The Vatican explained that the 86-year-old pontiff was simply dealing with a mild case of the flu.

It’s no surprise that Pope Francis has had his fair share of health battles in recent years. From hernia surgery to knee injuries, this guy has been through a lot. But he keeps on going, showing the world what resilience looks like.

Now, some critics may say that the Pope should take it easy and step down if he can’t perform his duties. But I say, give the guy a break! He’s the oldest-reigning pope in over 100 years. Let him do his thing and lead the Catholic Church in his own unique way.

So, let’s all wish Pope Francis a speedy recovery and hope that he brings some much-needed energy to the climate conference. And maybe, just maybe, he can work on a miracle or two while he’s at it.
