In yet another display of rampant liberal activism from the judicial bench, a pro-immigrant judge in California tried to shackle the Trump administration’s efforts to cut off taxpayer-funded legal aid for illegal aliens. This desperate attempt to keep the federal gravy train flowing for pro-migrant advocacy groups highlights the lengths to which these globalist interests will go to undermine American sovereignty and thumb their noses at the will of the people.
Appointed by Biden, Judge Araceli Martinez Olguin predictably sided with the open-borders crowd, issuing a temporary restraining order with flimsy justification. But don’t be fooled by the smoke and mirrors of so-called judicial impartiality—this judge’s past ties to pro-migrant groups tell the real story. Her bias is as transparent as her intentions, a fact not lost on the Trump administration, which demanded her recusal due to her obvious conflict of interest.
Thankfully, common sense prevailed, if only temporarily. A federal judge in Washington, D.C., reversed the California ruling, at least for now. It’s a temporary breath of fresh air for those of us who believe in the America First agenda. But the left’s temper tantrum isn’t over. They’re demanding detailed explanations on why this taxpayer-funded boon for illegal aliens is getting the ax—an outrageous expectation when the primary explanation is the best one: it’s time to stop rewarding those who break the rules.
The clock is ticking for these advocacy groups that rely on federal cash to push their agenda. Their business model is simple: siphon taxpayer dollars to counsel individuals on how to circumvent our laws. Now that the funding has been halted again, they’re in a panic. They know the gravy train could be derailed for good after the upcoming hearing if the administration holds firm.
Isn’t it time for America to stop carrying the financial burden of illegal seminars and services for those who flout our immigration laws? When will liberals wake up and realize that a nation without secure borders is a house built on sand? The stakes are high, and as taxpayers, we should be outraged. This is about preserving the integrity of our nation for citizens who play by the rules, not for those who exploit the system. Why should hardworking Americans foot the bill for lawbreakers’ legal fees? That’s the real question every patriot should ask.
