In a recent lawsuit, two pregnancy centers and a pro-life nonprofit accused Democratic Attorney General Letitia James of trying to silence them from talking about the abortion reversal pill. The lawsuit claims that James unlawfully targeted the centers for sharing information about progesterone, a supplement that can potentially reverse the effects of a chemical abortion.
The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, Gianna’s House, and Options Care Center filed a counter lawsuit, arguing that James was overstepping her authority by restricting their ability to discuss the abortion reversal pill with pregnant women. They believe that James is censoring their pro-life viewpoints and preventing women from learning about all their options when facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Progesterone has a history of being used to prevent miscarriages and proponents of the abortion reversal pill argue that it can effectively reverse the effects of abortion pills in some cases. Despite James’ claims that there is no scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of progesterone in reversing abortions, studies have shown promising results with the protocol, including a significant number of women being able to carry their pregnancies to term after undergoing progesterone treatment.
The plaintiffs in the lawsuit assert that women should have the freedom to reconsider their decision about abortion and deserve access to all relevant information, including the option of using progesterone to potentially save their baby’s life. They argue that pro-life pregnancy centers play a crucial role in providing truthful and life-saving information to women in need of support during unexpected pregnancies.
